It has come to my attention that I have infuriated a particular Muslim with my work enough that she made a journal entry rallying her kind to have my work "reported." For the way I strive to blast apart rigid mentalities, this is pretty much an honor. If you keep up with the news or Pat Condell, you'll see plenty of instances where Muslims do their best to ban/boycott/burn anything that upsets their delicate emotions. There is a certain nature to the dogmatic that they will agree with free expression until they hear something they don't agree with. I suppose it was only a matter of time before they came for me.
I'm a young artist with many years ahead of me and more talent than the Dane that made the news. Thus far, the instances of blasphemy in my art have been seldom and directed at Christianity. But, fair warning -- you are pulling a tiger's tail. I will not go away. These are the kinds of fights that the artist strives for, thrives on, and relishes. I have seen enough pictures of the American flag thrown in the garbage, impaled in the bloodiest fashion on the crescent of Islam, and otherwise damaged in the sea of violent Muslim anti-western propaganda. I do not report these things like a winy child that expects a social conservative philosophy of governing to have someone powerful swoop in to save the day for me. That is the method of the eternal child. Instead, I have a variety of talents at my disposal to express myself and to exert a pull on the world's perception of the issue at hand. I do not seek to take that ability away from others, since that is a vestigial tactic lingering from the days of swordplay and alchemy. Any victory you have will be short lived, will show the oppressive nature of the life style you've chosen, and further kindle my passion for expressing myself in ways you won't appreciate.
If Allah is real, then let him do his worst. I dare him. Let him come down here and behead me for troubling the religion of peace. The truth is, once the angry mob of Allah's followers goes silent, this Allah guy has no voice in the matter. There is no divine voice to dictate what is right or wrong in the world, only a sea of people with mutually exclusive beliefs screaming their heads off like lunatics. The moment you desist, my transgressions against your invisible friend go forgotten and unpunished, placing the greatness of Allah in question. This is usually the case for crimes committed against a person that does not exist. Funny, isn't it?
